Have you ever made a sling shot from limited materials. Well I did that exact same thing today with Paul in Engineering 101. The selected material were unlimited celetape and masking tape, card/paper, 1 straw, 1 paperclip, 1 popsicle stick and 1 rubber band. It wasn't something you throw of course you used it like in this photo.-> ->
Unfortunately some of our arrows went on the roof! :-(

RUSH hour

Hi bloggers,

Today has been the most rushed day I've ever experienced. Today is all about our discovering your past projects because the deadline is next week. Now practically all of us are practicing our presentation for the spring fling. we talk about the presentation in front of a group and a teacher. Some of the topics are - the family tree, Country of importance (where your from), pros and cons of immigration and of course the world map.

The Moviiie

The Moviiie, you may be wondering what the Moviiie means? It has 3 i's so the Movie 3 basically, but I wanted to call it an awesome name. The Moviiie is the trailer on 'UP' but I have added sound affects like dogs barking, bombs, thunder noises and planes flying by. This is all done on garage-band using loops which are noises/sound effects that you can use to help or edit the video. Also you can sing on GarageBand, and play instruments like the keyboard and guitar. So I would highly recommend this software for you music lovers out there.

Con- Consent- Concentric circles

Privet and get ready for the greatest blog of your life. Privet means "hello" in Russian

After the roll and Admin at the start of the day I drew... CIRCLES!! Not plain circles, concentric circles by Kandinsky- the famous Russian artist. I got challenged by drawing the circles. We looked at a video by a lady and she made it look sooo easy but guess what... it WAS NOT. The whole meaning was draw concentric circles of the colour that you thought the music linked to.

Kyle is 2 face!!

Today Kyle turned 2 face!! I know its terrifying but we'll all have to live with it. NO Kyle turned 2 face in a Pablo Picasso art called  Cubisum. It is when you put 2 faces inside of 1, so basically 2 in 1!! We picked a buddy (Mine was Kyle) and drew their face like Pablo Picasso. I haven't finished yet but it is looking good. But sadly still I have to look at Kyle's 2 face

How to calm STRESS!!

Just CALM DOWN!!!

Please don't bash your computer if you are stressed! I'll tell you how to calm it down. Say "Thank you!"
This task was with Nicola. It was named Stress. I don't know how she came up with that name? We watched a quick clip about how to relax and soothe that stress that you have. Go out for exercise, find your own private place, and most of all take a good ten deep breaths, breathing in and out. We got to relax for ten minute drawing with calming music. It was like I was living in Hawaii: Relaxing... until the music went off... AND we had to stop!

Bullying vs Friendship?

Welcome back bloggers,

The first task for today was...Friendship/Bullying with Paul.

As a group we talked about what we thought makes a good friend,  and what we thought bullying was.  For the 'what makes a good friend' question, most people came up with loyalty, kindness and standing up for others.

With the bullying question, we all had different answers. Mine were that bullies don't care about others and also they take their tempers out on others.

Ancestors

Welcome back buddies!

Do you know where your ancestors originated from?

I don't, but thats one of our new tasks here at Enrich. We have to find out about our ancestors and where they came from, but like always there's a twist. At the date of Term 3, week 7 all of us have to dress up in your culture and represent it. The task is to build a family tree and get information from past relations.

I will get revenge

Welcome back blogsters!

Today I had a death-defying moment in... Chess against Jackson.
At the very start of the game Jackson made a crucial move against me by taking my queen straight away, in the blink of a eye.
By that time Jackson had dominated the game, he took, stole and killed my players.
That was it. I was coming back, the game wasn't over yet...
Yes it was, Katie had put the music on and it came down to points.
Total scores:
Jackson= 27 points
Thomas= 19 points
So that had meant Jackson is now 3rd and leaving me 4th.
:-(
I will get my revenge!!

Crime scene

Today I was involved with a..... Crime scene. Nothing big but I arrested a few men like my Dad! They got arrested for speeding through traffic lights in my game. I got soooo annoyed that I got thrown him into jail straight away, and then another 10 got the same punishment.
The next activity "What was there?" This activity was sooo frustrating as well because you had to look at the picture and remember what was there. In this game you got points and my high score was 280. When you get a question correct you went up 10 points and everyone you got wrong you decreased 10 point!

Top hats like Pharrell

Hello and welcome back to my blog!!

This blog post is all about Wuzzles with Nicola. The task was to write down words in alphabetical order, and I tell you - this was EXTREMELY HARD! The first activity was to write down as many word as possible in 5 minutes. After that Nicola checked our writing and and Charlie took the top place with Bruno and I sharing second. So in that case us three got hats. Charlie's hat was a cowboy one and bruno and I had top hats just like Pharrell Williams!!
We have to wear these hats for the rest of the day, so... YAY!!

Brains washed

 Brains washed 

Invercargill times 

Stunning News reports that brains were washed out completely today at Enrich when the students were studying the 11 Scholarly Habits. Nicola says that her children were off task and had a brain the size of an ant.

The police came into identify what had happened to the poor children learning at Enrich.

Sergeant Blair W had come in and said That there were three suspects...

Katie, Nicola or crazy Joe.

Later that week the children had to be knocked out to be checked on about the situation.

Decision time

Asking the children, 10 year old Bruno B said

"Um, um, well... Katie  wasn't... there at the.. time it happened." 

So that meant that it was Nicola or crazy Joe.

Sargent Blair W finally made his decision,

"The person who did this terrible crime was...

NICOLA!" saying aloud.

Getting dragged into the cop car Nicola 

screams "I'm innocent!!!"

Later that day Nicola got taken into court and only a couple of charges got pressed.

So that was that, everybody went home talking about unicorns and crazy joe got lucky this time!!! :)

Welcome back to my blog! New year 2014 here we come. Today was a fun fill day at Enrich, my highlight would be the the interviews. The question had to be open questions. An open question is instead of saying yes or no you  give more information. Okay, Forget Bruno Mars, One direction and also Justin Bieber. Today it was all about Bruno not Bruno Mars, but Bruno, (AKA my classmate!)

We had to ask ten questions while interviewing you classmate.
A couple of questions were...

What is your favourite meal at KFC?
What do you think while your alone?
What are your best qualities?


Brunos favourite meal was a quarter pack!!
He thinks about what is going on around him.
He thinks his best qualities are math and spelling.

I'll miss you, (Not really!)

Battling it out the black and white were arch nemesis, (That's a tongue twister!) The leaders of both of them were Jacob and Thomas. Jacob made croutial moves but Thomas came over that... "BANG" Jacobs horse was dead, "BANG" Both of Jacobs rooks were dead. Jacob had given up after he lost all of his men and horses. So now Jacob was spending the rest of his life in the dirty old dungeon of Tomville. Setting Jacob free he left with NOTHING!

But Jacob was not the only one leaving, sadly here at Enrich Jemmimah, Darryn and the year 6's are leaving. So I'll miss you! NO I won't because I'm a year 5!
